05.10.2012 – Preliminary approval (no. 303 c) for Alfipas 7816 by GSB International
The new high-performance, zirconium-based passivating agent generates nanomolecular corrosion-protection coatings on a variety of metal surfaces by means of sol-gel (SG) processes.
The ENVIROX “SG” process with Alfipas 7816 is chromium-free and ideal for protecting iron and steel surfaces, while it is also suitable for aluminium and zinc-plated surfaces that are coated afterwards.
For steel substrates a prior phosphating procedure is not necessary.
The system is now successfully approved by Qualicoat and GSB International.
