Over recent months, energy prices have increased significantly in many regions, creating additional cost pressure for energy-intensive industries.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>In particular, anodising and coating operations are directly affected by this development, as energy consumption has a direct impact on production costs. At the same time, requirements for surface quality, process reliability and reproducibility continue to increase.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>For companies involved in surface finishing, an important question therefore arises:<br \/>How can energy consumption be reduced without compromising process stability or product quality?<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Optimised temperatures = lower energy consumption<\/h2><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>One key lever for improving energy efficiency lies in optimising process temperatures along the entire anodising line.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>For example:<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Cleaning processes can be carried out efficiently at temperatures as low as around 35 \u00b0C \u2013 depending on the product used and the condition of the material.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Anodising baths can be operated at temperatures of up to <strong>25 \u00b0C<\/strong> while still achieving excellent colouring performance, for example with additives such as <strong>Alfinox 510<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Sealing processes can be carried out reliably using suitable medium-temperature sealing additives from around 85 \u00b0C.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alufinish.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cleaning-difference1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>The result: <strong>reduced energy consumption while maintaining consistently high coating quality<\/strong>.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>Products such as <strong>Alfinox 510<\/strong> and <strong>Alfiseal 1960<\/strong> support these process conditions and help operators achieve stable results even with optimised energy consumption.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Greater flexibility in coating<\/h2><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>In coating plants, flexibility is increasingly becoming the key factor in determining a plant\u2019s economic performance.<br \/>Switching to a multi-metal pretreatment process can significantly expand production capabilities. With solutions such as Alfipas 7816, coating plants can, depending on the type of plant, treat not only aluminium but also steel and galvanised substrates within a single system, whilst achieving good corrosion protection properties.<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>This enables:<\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>greater production flexibility<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>fewer system changeovers<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>additional business opportunities<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><p><\/p><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Process check: identifying optimisation potential<\/h2><p><\/p><p><\/p><p>Technology alone is often not enough to realise a plant\u2019s full potential for optimisation.<br \/>That is why Alufinish supports its customers with process audits carried out by experienced consultants.
