This is because, according to the German Aluminium Association, 75 percent of the aluminium ever produced is still in the economic cycle. If the aluminium is returned to the cycle after all, recycling saves about 95 percent of the energy it would otherwise take to produce new primary aluminium. Recycling aluminium therefore ensures sustainable aluminium use. This method of use not only saves massive amounts of energy, but also leads to a lower demand for new aluminium in the long term due to its durability.<\/p>
