Coating

Phosphating - one process, many possibilities

Phosphating is still regarded as the classic pretreatment of iron and steel surfaces before coating. We offer you a wide range of different products: classic iron phosphating or low-temperature products to efficiently reduce your operating costs. Together with cleaning and passivation systems, we give your steel surfaces the basis for long-lasting durability.

Anodising - additives to improve temperature sensitivity, coating hardness and colourability, as well as to save energy in anodising operations

Alfinox 502 - Additive for the GSX process at elevated bath temperatures
Alfinox 510 - ENSAV AL - process - Enables both a hard anodising-like layer at low bath temperatures and energy savings when operating above 21°C. At the same time, colourability is improved at higher temperatures.

Decorative, organic, inorganic and electrolytical colouring processes for anodised aluminium. The colour brilliance of coloured goods can be further improved by mechanical pretreatment processes or brightening processes.

Alficolor 650 - Alficolor 651 - Electrolytical Terra - Color AL process - Enables the production of numerous light to dark brown shades that correspond to wood or earth colours
Alficolor 672 - Alficolor 692 - Electrolytical Copper - Color AL process - Enables typical copper colouring on anodised aluminium surfaces
Alficolor 680 - Electrolytical Alfisteel - process - Produces light to medium grey tones. The surfaces appear to be made of stainless steel
Alficolor 684 - Electrolytical Decor - Grey AL process - For particularly decorative, dark grey colouring on anodised aluminium surfaces

Automatically dosable cold and hot sealing products for use in deionised water and for special applications (e.g. alkali resistance, shorter sealing times, energy saving purposes)

Alfiseal 938 - Fastseal AL process - Hot sealing additive for shortened sealing times of up to 1 min/μm
Alfiseal 942 - Standard hot sealing process with good filterability and excellent "anti-fingerprint" properties Long service life
Alfiseal 969 - Medium-temperature sealing for energy saving, Qualanod approval for an application range of 86 - 90°C

Maintenance product for refreshing and preserving anodised aluminium surfaces (e.g. older objects such as window frames and doors). The product is approved by the GRM (Gütegemeinschaft Reinigung von Fassaden und Metallfassadensanierung e.V.).

Wetting and foaming agents, correction solutions, flocculants and anti-foaming agents for various applications in anodising plants

Antifoam - For foam reduction on process bathes and rinsing bathes

Acidic, fluoride-containing etching systems for the activation of aluminium surfaces prior to subsequent corrosion protection processes. The liquid products can be dosed automatically and can be applied by spraying, dipping and flushing.

Alfideox 82/3 - Acid Etch AL - process, Ideal for stronger etching demands of aluminium and the use of evaporator technologies; highly effective even in low concentrations
Alfideox 86 - (without GHS06 labelling), therefore corresponding storage restrictions do not apply
Alfideox 87 - (without GHS06 labelling), like Alfideox 86, but even more productive
Alfideox 101 - Acid Etch AL - process, Universal etching product for aluminium and highly effective even in low concentrations

Traditional Cr(VI)-containing chromating products for maximum corrosion protection on aluminium surfaces prior to coating. Both processes are liquid and can be dosed automatically. Can be applied by dipping and spraying.

Alfipas 724 - Yellow chromating, produces yellowish chromate layers on aluminium surfaces with excellent corrosion protection.
Alfipas 731 - Green chromating, produces greenish-iridescent, Cr(III)-containing corrosion protection layers on aluminium surfaces.

Polymer-containing no-rinse chromating for various metal surfaces, the subsequent rinsing technique is not required.

Alficoat 770-Alficoat 771 - Chromium(VI)-containing 2K process, for optimum corrosion protection on Al, Fe and Zn before powder coating, can be dosed automatically. The Qualicoat authorisation expires in 2024

Long-proven conversion processes as a replacement for conventional chromating processes, known as the "ENVIROX" process, with and without rinsing technology. The liquid products can be dosed automatically and can be used in spraying, dipping and flushing processes. All systems are approved by Qualicoat and GSB International for the powder coating of aluminium.

Alfipas 745-Alfipas 746 (ENVIROX S – process) - titanium-based, 2K corrosion protection process that requires rinsing, suitable for aluminium surfaces. Successful 10-year outdoor exposure test - GSB International
